Working with Archipelago - Episode 1

In the opening chapter of Archipelago Technology's two-part video series ‘Working with Archipelago’, Guy Newcombe, CEO of Archipelago, introduces us to the core of what Archipelago does: leading the shift from plastic to paper packaging through their pioneering PowerdropTM technology. Yet, the essence of Archipelago's mission goes beyond technological breakthroughs. The company is deeply invested in nurturing the next generation of engineers and scientists through a comprehensive engagement strategy: facilitating undergraduate and postgraduate projects, internships, year-long industry placements, knowledge transfer partnerships, and offering full-time employment opportunities.

Archipelago has collaborated with over thirty young professionals over the past decade, offering them a glimpse of what it is like to be part of an exciting technological start-up company. This approach not only benefits the young engineers and scientists, but also universities, policy makers, and fellow companies, looking to rejuvenate their talent pools.

In this first instalment we are introduced to two former placement students from QMUL, Emil Sieciechowicz and Aroma Khan. We find out a little bit more about their experience at Archipelago, what they loved, what they found challenging and what they would recommend to other students looking to benefit from a collaboration with Archipelago.

We look forward to the second part of the series, where we will be introduced to two more young engineers who spent time within the company's innovative environment.

Please get in touch with Guy Newcombe for more information on how to collaborate with Archipelago.
