C-marx at K Show: Printing Beyond Colour — Additive Precision with the C-Print Inkjet Module
At the K-Show, we caught up with Peter Ueberfuhr of C-marx, who introduced us to the C-Print Inkjet Printing Module — a flexible, high-precision system that perfectly reflects the company’s philosophy of “Printing Beyond Colour.”
C-marx is known for its expertise in inkjet-based additive production systems — designing both integration solutions for existing production lines and stand-alone inkjet systems for specialist applications. The company’s focus goes far beyond surface decoration: it’s about using digital inkjet to apply functional coatings, adhesives, resins, and conductive materials with exacting control — enabling smarter, more efficient manufacturing.
On the stand, C-marx demonstrated this by printing individualised plastic nameplates with raised lettering — a simple yet powerful example of how digital inkjet can now combine mass customisation, material control, and fine surface definition in a single pass. Each nameplate was produced with pinpoint accuracy, smooth surface definition and variable data, illustrating how digital print is bridging the gap between design flexibility and industrial precision.
The C-Print Module is built for integration — configurable for single- or multi-pass operation and adaptable to a wide range of materials such as plastics, glass, ceramics, textiles, coated metals, or even concrete. It supports multiple ink types — UV, water-based, solvent, nanoparticle, phenol, and conductive formulations — making it ideal for both decorative and functional layers.
With print widths up to 1,000 mm, speeds up to 100 m/min, and resolutions up to 1200 dpi, the module delivers the rare combination of productivity and precision. It’s compatible with leading printhead technologies from Seiko, Fujifilm, Xaar, Konica Minolta, Epson, Ricoh, Toshiba, Kyocera, and Quantica — ensuring flexibility across applications and industries.
As Peter Ueberfuhr explained, C-marx works with customers from concept to production — combining engineering expertise, software control (via their C-PrintControl system) and tailored integration to ensure every system performs to its potential. Whether part of a large-scale production line or a standalone system, C-marx solutions are engineered to bring the advantages of digital additive manufacturing directly into industrial processes.
True to its ethos of “Printing beyond colour,” the C-Print Module demonstrates how industrial inkjet is evolving into a key enabling technology for additive manufacturing and functional coatings — creating real value through digital precision, reliability, and flexibility.
This short film captures C-marx’s vision: inkjet technology that intelligently integrates into production — adaptable, precise, and beautifully engineered.
