Chain of Thought AI to Join FuturePrint Podfest in London
FuturePrint is pleased to welcome Chain of Thought AI to the inaugural FuturePrint Podfest, taking place on 25–26 June at the Century Club.
Based in Cambridge, Chain of Thought AI is developing ZOTU, an AI-powered copilot designed to help technical support teams working with complex industrial systems, including inkjet printing equipment.
In many industrial print environments, service engineers must navigate thousands of pages of manuals, service bulletins, historical tickets, troubleshooting notes, and internal documentation. Much of the knowledge needed to solve problems exists within the organisation, but it is often difficult to find quickly when machines are down and time is critical.
ZOTU turns this scattered knowledge into an intelligent resolution layer for support teams. Engineers can describe an issue in natural language and receive grounded, source-backed guidance based on the company’s own documentation and service history. Instead of simply searching for documents, ZOTU helps teams connect past fixes, technical context and relevant procedures so they can troubleshoot with greater speed and confidence.
For inkjet printing systems, where machine architectures are complex and knowledge accumulates over many years, this has the potential to significantly reduce downtime and improve first-time fix rates. ZOTU also helps convert individual learnings into shared team knowledge, so one engineer’s fix can become accessible to the whole team instantly. This reduces dependency and prevents teams from repeatedly solving the same problems, and makes onboarding easier for new engineers.
Another important feature is deployment flexibility. For companies with strict data security requirements, ZOTU can be installed within the customer’s own IT environment, ensuring that sensitive service data remains entirely in-house.
Why This Matters for Industrial Print
As industrial inkjet systems become more sophisticated, the ability to capture and reuse technical knowledge is becoming increasingly valuable. Experienced engineers hold a huge amount of know-how, but organisations are under pressure to make that expertise accessible to wider teams and to newer staff.
Tools like ZOTU represent a practical application of AI, one focused not on replacing engineers, but on helping them find trusted information faster and make better decisions.
About FuturePrint PodFEST
On 25–26 June, FuturePrint will host its first PodFEST at the Century Club in London, a two-day, invite-only event built around filmed and recorded industry conversations.
Designed to be more focused and conversational than a traditional conference, PodFEST will bring together a select group of industry voices to discuss key themes shaping the future of print.
Following several highly successful weeks for the FuturePrint Podcast, including more than 900 downloads for one recent episode, PodFEST is a natural next step, creating a dedicated environment for deeper conversations and high-value content.
We look forward to welcoming Chain of Thought AI to London and exploring how AI tools like ZOTU can help technical teams in industrial print environments work smarter and respond faster.
