Defining the Future of Industrial Print: Development Meeting at Motorworld, Munich

July 3, FuturePrint hosted its Industrial Print Development Meeting at the iconic Motorworld in Munich—an ideal setting that combines cutting-edge engineering with deep industrial heritage. The gathering brought together innovators, experts, and business leaders from across the industrial print landscape to help shape the vision and direction of the sector’s most exciting new event.

With strong representation from technology developers, solution providers, and end users, the meeting centred on aligning the upcoming FuturePrint Industrial Print CONFEX—scheduled for 21–22 January 2026—with real-world commercial opportunities.

A key outcome was a clear consensus on the core verticals that will anchor the event: automotive, medtech, defence, and EV battery technologies. These were identified as high-growth sectors where industrial print—across functional, decorative, and additive applications—can deliver meaningful value. Attendees offered insight into the unique demands of each market, from traceability and compliance in medtech to the materials performance and durability needed in automotive and defence.

Frazer Chesterman, Co-Founder of FuturePrint, commented:
“Industrial print is evolving fast—and this meeting was a crucial step in ensuring the CONFEX reflects where the real opportunities are. By bringing the right people together in the right setting, we’re creating an event with real purpose and direction.”

Mikael Boedler of Inkatronic added:
“Joining the group today and seeing the venue has got me really excited about this event. We’re looking forward to showcasing our technology to an industrial print audience in January 2026.”

The session also underlined the importance of sustainability, automation, and digitalisation as critical enablers across all sectors.

The FuturePrint team extends its thanks to all participants and looks forward to continued collaboration as the vision for the CONFEX comes to life—at the spacious, multi-purpose Kohlebunker venue within Motorworld Munich.
