FuturePrint Industrial Print: A Phoenix Moment for Industrial Inkjet
Like a Phoenix rising, FuturePrint Industrial Print has marked a decisive and confident rebirth for the next phase of growth and development for the industrial inkjet print community. Held on 21–22 January at the striking Motorworld Munich, the inaugural edition delivered exactly what the market has been calling for: a focused, relevant, and highly energised meeting point for industrial print technology and advanced manufacturing.
Over two intensive days, the event hosted 337 individuals making 518 event visits. Visitors came from across Europe, North America, and Asia gathering at Motorworld in Munich. What united them was a shared belief that industrial inkjet has moved beyond experimentation and niche deployment, and is now firmly embedded as a core manufacturing technology. FuturePrint Industrial Print was designed precisely around that reality - connecting inkjet not just to print service providers, but directly to manufacturers, brand owners, OEMs, integrators, and materials specialists.
The venue itself played a central role in the event’s success. Motorworld’s Kohlebunker - with its industrial heritage, dramatic architecture, and open, navigable layout - proved the perfect backdrop for an event focused on production, engineering, and real-world application. Unlike traditional trade shows or conference-only formats, FuturePrint Industrial Print deliberately designed a ‘pop-up’ show, blending the best of show and conference: visually impactful booths, carefully curated conference sessions, and abundant space for informal but meaningful conversation.
This hybrid approach resonated strongly with attendees. Many described the event as the “missing link” in the global calendar - an event that finally bridges the gap between inkjet technology developers and the manufacturing sectors actively adopting it. The attendee profile featured delegates never seen before at FuturePrint events from the industrial manufacturing supply chain, as well as world leading brands. From functional and additive printing, to surface decoration, packaging, labels, and direct-to-shape applications, the conversations were grounded in deployment, scalability, reliability, and ROI.
Crucially, the quality of dialogue stood out. Rather than superficial booth visits or rushed meetings, exhibitors and visitors alike reported in-depth technical discussions, genuine knowledge exchange, and commercially relevant engagement.
That sense of momentum - of something re-ignited rather than merely replaced - was palpable throughout the event. FuturePrint Industrial Print did not attempt to replicate the past, but instead reimagined what an industrial print event should look like in 2026: leaner, smarter, more connected, and firmly aligned with manufacturing realities.
If this first edition is any indication, the phoenix has not only risen - it has found its wings.
Lastly, the FuturePrint team would like to extend a huge thank you to all our innovative exhibitors, speakers and delegates for making this launch event such a success. We are inspired! And look forward to improving and enhancing the event further for the second edition in 2027 :)
Here is a collection of comments about the event which have been shared on LinkedIn:

“As exhibitors at FuturePrint, we've had two interesting and successful days filled with intensive discussions. It was a successful relaunch of the former InPrint format for an inkjet trade fair. The location, the number of visitors, the quality of the exhibitors, and the productive conversations impressed us. We are now evaluating our FuturePrint meeting notes and will promptly follow up on the key leads. We are convinced that the FuturePrint concept helps all inkjet industry stakeholders to develop their businesses positively. We look forward to the next FuturePrint.”

“This week, we had the pleasure of presenting at the FuturePrint in München.
The conference itself was a real highlight.
We met many inspiring people, discovered some truly breakthrough innovations, and had the chance to showcase our work at a very active booth — so active that we almost ran out of business cards.
Moments like these remind us how dynamic and forward‑thinking our industry is, and how valuable it is to connect in person.”
Massimo Calliari from Atlantic Zeiser
“Last week, I had the opportunity to attend the FuturePrint Tech Industrial Printing event, held at Motorworld in Munich.
It was a truly interesting event dedicated to professionals in the digital printing industry, with numerous technical insights and training seminars.
Atlantic Zeiser, a Coesia company, is always at the forefront of the digital printing market.”
Rowan Beale from 42 Technology
‘Last week I had the chance to attend the FuturePrint AI event in Munich with my colleague Peter Brown, and it was a great experience.
It was great to connect with others across the printing industry and to hear thoughtful discussions around how new technologies are shaping what’s next for printing. The conversations around innovation, automation, and AI highlighted just how much opportunity there is for the sector right now.
I also really enjoyed talking through our own capabilities with people at the event — particularly how RF drying could unlock new possibilities and open up exciting opportunities moving forward.
Thanks to everyone involved for the great discussions and insights. Looking forward to seeing how these ideas continue to develop.’
