HP Joins as Founding Partner in "A Manifesto for More Sustainable Print"

FuturePrint is thrilled to announce that HP has confirmed its partnership for A Manifesto for More Sustainable Print, further strengthening this collective industry commitment. With HP leading the initiative with FuturePrint, the project has gained a globally respected leader dedicated to sustainable innovation in printing and packaging.

The manifesto—first unveiled in Draft 1.0 at the FuturePrint Leaders Summit in Valencia in April—brings together OEMs, suppliers, printers, and brands to establish a shared definition, framework, and action plan for sustainability in print. It emphasizes practical steps in carbon reduction, waste minimization, energy efficiency, and responsible materials.

Marcus Timson of FuturePrint highlights the importance of this collaboration:

“This is about giving the print industry the clarity it needs to move forward together. We’re creating a shared foundation that empowers everyone—from suppliers to brands—to take real, meaningful steps toward sustainability.”

Carlos Lahoz of HP adds:

“HP is proud to shape and support this initiative. By aligning around common sustainability principles and measurable goals, we can scale impact across the supply chain and lead by example.”

HP’s involvement as both a founding brand partner and leading contributor means the company will help refine guiding principles and promote alignment across the value chain. As the manifesto moves from open consultation to its formal launch in Autumn 2025, HP’s role will further reinforce the initiative’s credibility and momentum.

The partnership signals a powerful signal that industry leaders, print service providers, converters, and brands alike are ready to work together—not just to talk about sustainability, but to deliver on it through tangible, measurable change.

Stay tuned for upcoming milestones, including the finalized manifesto this September and a series of joint events aimed at driving real-world sustainability impact in print.
