Phoseon’s First Nexus ONE™ UV LED Curing Install in Morocco

Adhesive label manufacturer JMC has invested in a Lombardi flexo press to expands its capabilities and increase production versatility.

The installation was handled by Techpack SAS, an agent and integrator of equipment for the graphic arts, packaging and converting industry. JMC manufactures a wide range of adhesive labels such as in-mould labels (IML), small flexible packaging and cardboard. It prints adhesive labels for the wine, food and industrial markets.

The Casablanca-based company chose a servo-motorized 8 station Lombardi Synchroline with width of 530 mm with a cutting station. Special feature, the line is equipped with latest generation Phoseon Nexus ONE™ UV LED curing systems. "The line is installed and JMC's managers are fully delighted with their choice", notes Serge Sanlaville, co-manager of Techpack. There is no shortage of Lombardi press installation projects in the Maghreb. "Seven are already installed and we have several serious projects including two in Algeria", explains Serge Sanlaville. The prospects seem just as good for another of its principals, Grafotronic, with a planned installation in Morocco and two in Algeria.

JMC is thus continuing its development in flexible packaging and adhesive labels for the food and wine market, in accordance with the Aixor Group's ethical development policy, which aims at continuous improvement through innovation and respect for the environment.

The Lombardi Synchroline 530 combined with Nexus ONE™ UV LED curing systems offers converters complete versatility and the ability to print a wide range of materials. Nexus ONE™ sustainable UV LED curing products deliver maximum power and dose of UV energy for the flexographic markets where high performance is a key requirement. The intense UV output of Nexus ONE paired with UV LED flexo inks achieves record press running speeds. Due to the long wavelength range of UV LED, Nexus ONE products have the ability to cure difficult inks with reliably higher quality at faster speeds.
